Another CFR show in the books with lots of happy door prize winners and lots of good things seen at the show.

I want to thank everyone that worked on the show, including the PFF members and volunteers. I also want to thank all of the wonderful exhibitors and presenters at the show for their excellent contributions. Thank you to the staff and management of the Auditorium for an excellent job. A thank you to the businesses that support us with advertisements in our program as well as those that donate the prizes that the attendees receive. Finally a thank you to all of you who attend the show and return year in and year out and who support, by your patronage, the businesses that help make this show possible. You let us know that the effort to give you a quality show are all worthwhile.

Jeremy Kupferman regulary guides the novice or experienced clients out to rock climb on the cliff’s of Acadia, ice climbing in Camden, or to the top of Mt. Katahdin in winter or summer. He will provide professional guide services on any of these trips so the client is safe, content and has a lifetime experience. Climbing and being outdoors is in his blood, he started climbing in Maine with the cupboards at his home, moving on to multi pitch cliffs. Yes, he is a native and single. When he is forced to be inside he can be found at Acadia Mountain Guides for the past 4 years. Jeremy is a certified PCIA Multi pitch Rock Climbing Guide, certified Wilderness First Responder and holds an American Institute of Avalanche Research and Education Level 1 Certification

2012 CABIN FEVER RELIEVER February 25, 26, 2012

As Always Free to the Public

It’s almost time again for the Penobscot Fly Fishers Cabin Fever Reliever show. The show will be February 25^th and 26^th 2012 10am to 5 pm and 10am to 3 pm respectively. Where? at the “World Famous” Brewer Auditorium. As usual we will lots and lots of exhibitors and lots to do. This year we will have some outdoor activities for people to share in.

As in the past the kids will be able to come and learn to tie a fly and maybe win a fly rod outfit. The Maine Bow Hunters Association will be on stage giving youngsters an opportunity to shoot a bow. This year we have added River City BassMasters that will also be on stage giving youngsters an chance to do some Bass Flippin. The show will again host many fly tyers, and educational organizations along with other outdoor related business demonstrating a wide variety of activities.

Yes we still will have Speakers throughout both days talking on Dogs, Fly Rod building, Gps and more. Watch the website as we will be adding more details as to activities and exhibitors.

Congratulation to the last years 2011 Cabin Fever Reliever raffle/door prize winners.

The winner of the Old Town Canoe raffle was Steve Doaks of Augusta, Maine. The packbasket winner was John Rice of Bangor. The fly rod kit winner was Emily Garib (accepting is her aunt) Kathy Vanaria, Winterport, Maine

There are several new exhibitors attending the 2012 Cabin Fever Reliever:

Dirigo Trout Nets Bruce Weymouth will be displaying his talents in producing excellent trout nets with detailing for that special net.

Maine Science Lady – Come look at whats under the microscopes at Ruth Perry’s booth. Something for both young and old.
